Web technology & communications
Since 1998 Main Street has focused on developing websites and web-based applications for businesses and non-profits. Our products and services fall into three general areas at this time: web development, web-content production (video & photography), and church communications consulting.
Main Street is a privately held, for-profit corporation, headquartered in Edmond, OK. It was founded in 1998 by Terrell Sanders to develop sophisticated web interfaces and database applications for commercial, public and government clients. Past projects have included web-to-cell phone dispatching systems, custom point-of-sale applications, and web interfaces for FAA flight simulators.
Small business website development has always been a core product for Main Street. Virtually all new development is based on the WordPress content management system. We also work with other developers to create custom WordPress themes to their specifications. More information about our web development services is available at www.MainStreetOpen.com.
After working with churches for years, we found that there were virtually no educational resources available for ministries interested in improving marketing and communications. In 2005 Main Street produced the first MinistryCOM national conference, an event specifically targeting education and support for church communications professionals. After several years this group has grown and been spun off into a separate 501(c)(3) organization. More information is available at www.MinistryCOM.org.
Our latest venture is in the area of web content creation. Video is becoming a strong content source, but traditional video production is still outside the budget of most small businesses and non-profits. We have developed low cost methods of creating professional video content. The Edmond Spotlight project is a testbed we use to display and refine our video production ability. More information is available at www.EdmondSpotlight.com.
